An Ode to the Ocean: My senior promotional piece.
An Ode to the Ocean is a multifaceted piece demonstrating the importance of preserving nature and appreciating nature’s beauty without our presence. An Ode to the Ocean features hand drawn temporary tattoos of some of nature’s beautiful wonders: a conch shell, an orchid, and a seahorse. It also features a custom-illustrated matchbook as an important reminder of our effect on the world’s natural beauties. Finally, An Ode to the Ocean includes a riso printed zine, which transforms into a graphic poster once unfolded.

Riso Printing Process
The riso printing process included creating masters of each layer of the design, and running it through the riso machine according to color and layer. I created a two toned, double sided design with deep sea blue, and a dark teal accent.
